Product Description
Amanda Jaffe, the heroine of Wild Justice and Proof Positive, is back—in this twisting tale of international intrigue and murder that leads her deep into the past . . . and into the crosshairs of a killer. Charlie Marsh, a petty thief and con man, becomes a national hero when he rescues the warden of a state penitentiary during a prison riot, but it doesn't take long before he is wanted again, suspected of killing a United States congressman. After twelve years of living in the African nation of Batanga, at the mercy of Jean-Claude Baptiste, a sadistic, power-mad dictator, Charlie flees for home to face his murder charge, when Baptiste learns about Charlie's affair with the tyrant's favorite wife. But it's not just the state of Oregon that's got it in for the philandering con. Criminal lawyer Amanda Jaffe has her work cut out for her. She must keep Charlie off death row, protect him from the head of Baptiste's deadly secret police, and prevent him from being caught by a shadowy killer who will stop at nothing to keep the truth about a decade-old crime buried forever.

Plodding along July 3, 2010 L. Beachum (Texas) Author seems to be writing for his own entertainment...another slow mover. If you are looking for suspenseful action look elsewhere
Fugative by Maargolin_excellent story April 19, 2010 Risdon W. Hankinson (Bartlesville, OK USA) Margolin is an excellent writer--I have read all of his books. This one is among the best and most intricately plotted. The unexpected ending was outstanding without being "hokey". A very enjoyable read and I recommend it to anyone who likes suspense fiction.
The Fugitive April 15, 2010 Barbara Childress Phillip Margolin is one of my favorite mystery writers. He makes you understand the lawyer terms and it is so hard to put it down until you get done reading his mysteries. I would recommend all of his books to anyone who loves a wonderful mystery.
Very good March 23, 2010 Spacegirl (Great Falls MT) I really enjoyed this book. This was the first book I've read from this author and I am anxious to start with a new one.
Good Read February 2, 2010 A Reader A good read that'll keep you guessing until the end. However, at times, it can get a bit convoluted trying to keep all the characters straight, which is what kept it from being a five-star novel.
