1 out of 5 stars The second murder of Tupac (1 and 1/2 stars)   January 22, 2008
What is Nu-Mixx Klazzics anyway? I'll tell you what its is. Its Suge Knights pathetic attempt to capitalize of Tupac's fans thats what! The only song that stands out is Life Goes On. Is it better than the original? Maybe. Never Had A Friend Like Me is okay but it's pail in comparison to the real version off of the Gridlocked Soundtrack. Its sad to hear classic joints like 2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted(feat a very weak appearance by Crooked I), How Do You Want It, All Eyez On Me, Toss It Up etc ruined by wack beats that even the most desperate MCs wouldnt rap over. Even his classic diss record to Biggie and Bad Boy records, Hit Em Up is ruined by a clubby and crappy beat. As A matter of fact that is the ongoing theme of this album. Putting clubby elevator music sounding beats over classic Tupac joints. How Do You Want It, Toss It Up, Ambitionz Az A Ridah and Heartz Of Men are all testaments of that statement. The worst beat unqestionably is 2 Of Amerikaz Most Wanted. Heartz Of Men is next to follow. Bottom Line: Stay away from this cheap attempt for quick bucks by Suge Knight. The beats are corny and make his rhymes over them impossible to take serious. Crook Knight claims that if Pac was alive he would have liked this project(STFU YOU FAT HOG!!!). There is a reason why Pac worked with the producers he worked with--their beats go together with his rhymes. This low budget con project sounds forced and is awful. Darren Vegas should be blackballed for this and more power to the guy who shot Suge in the leg down here at the awards show. F*** YOU SUGE YOU F****** VULTURE!!!

REST IN PEACE TUPAC AMARU SHAKUR!!!

4 out of 5 stars WORTH IT FOR THE GOOD TRACKS [TOSS IT UP IN PARTICULAR]   August 17, 2007
2PAC
NU MIXX KLASSICS

I still remember when every album of Pac's was supposedly all new material; it seems those days are over. Here it seems that Suge Knight has decided to remix 10 songs from his library and it is here we have Nu Mixx Klassics

1.2 OF AMERICAS MOST WANTED-this track was the single off of the album and featured the great CROOKED I. I actually really like this track, it is not better then the original but this is still a great remix. THA ROW HITTAS did their thing on this track; the beat is very club friendly and bouncy. Plus Crooked I kills this track along side the late 2pac, great track.4.5/5

2.HOW DO YOU WANT IT- even I have to admit that this track could have been way better, I really don't like this track all that much. Here's the thing the beat from Tha Row Hittas is nice and would have been great for another artist with an original song, but it doesn't fit well with Pac's vocals on this track.3/5

3.HAIL MARY-I really don't understand this track, they did it again. Once again the beat alone would have been pretty good, but with this song from Pac it is no where near right. This song was meant to be dark, they didn't get it right with this one.2.5/5

4.LIFE GOES ON-they get a little more on track with this song, it isn't great but it still sounds really smooth and jazzy. In fact I actually love the instrumental Tha Row Hittas cooked up for this track, it's a pretty cool take on this song.4/5

5.ALL EYEZ ON ME-while this is no where near as good as the original this track still manages to be pretty good. I actually think Pac would have got on this beat, just doing a different type of song to it. Also Big Syke is still killing it on the rmx.3.5/5

6.HEARTZ OF MEN-another beat Pac would have probably got down on, just with a different topic. As far as a remix goes this one is actually pretty good, not the best on the album but good none the less. The beat doesn't compare to the original DJ QUIK beat.4/5

7.TOSS IT UP-the hands down best song on the album, even better then the original. Tha Row Hittas went all out on this track, excellent production on this song. This version actually surpasses the original song and is more enjoyable, proof that these guys can actually make hit records, hands down the best remixed Pac song to come out of his previously released material.5/5

8.HIT EM' UP-I can see what they were trying to get with this song, but the beat doesn't mesh well with the lethal lyrics from Pac and THA OUTLAWZ. This track is decent though and worth a listen or 2.3.5/5

9.NEVER HAD A FRIEND LIKE ME-Pac's song to Suge so of course it's on this album, and it turns out pretty good. I like this remix, not as much as the original but this is still a good track. I recommend this song to all, give it a try.4/5

10.AMBITIONZ AZ A RIDAH-can't believe they actually remixed this song, this song was one of the best Pac songs ever recorded plus DAZ DILLINGER produced the classic original. But to be fair this is an ok track, the beat if on its own would be nice. Give it an honest listen and then make your judgment on it.3.8/5

Over all this was an ok release, the Toss it Up track is more then worth the price, get this for that track and the joint with Crooked I.

2 out of 5 stars Damn   May 29, 2007
Damn, the only decent track on this is Life Goes On, all the others suck! The music doesn't even sound right.

If 2Pac were alive today to hear this he'd go and knock Suge out.

4 out of 5 stars NOT that Bad!!!   May 20, 2007
I seriously cannot believe people are giving this cd 1 outta five stars! I guess these people would rather hear Ludacris and Ashanti butcher a Pac record.

This album is called a remix album because the songs are remixed. Personally, I feel that some of the remixes offer a fresh feel to some of Pac's classic cuts. However, like most remixes, these cuts are not better than the originals. Buy this cd if you want to hear a fresh new sound to some of Pac's all-time classics.

P.S.-I keep hearing people saying don't buy this cd because it's putting money in Suge's hands. Well, it's either Suge or Pac's money-crazed mother Afeni...take your pick.

Conclusion: 2.5 stars

Top Cuts:
All Eyez On Me remix
2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted remix
Ambitionz Az A Ridah remix
How Do You Want It remix

1 out of 5 stars This Is Why I Don't Buy Remix CDs Anymore (Rating: 1 out of 10- -1 star)   March 4, 2007

There is not much I can add to these reviews here. Just like me, a lot of people here were dissapointed because of the fact that so many classic 2Pac songs were remixed only to sound like disasters. Why would such an abomination happen? Suge Knight is trying to milk the Pac legacy until it is bone dry. Well at least he has done something right if you ask me. It sucks that this is how we are forced to remember Tupac Shakur, over tracks chopped up into this. Die hard Pac fans won't even like this, if they haven't heard it already. I'm so waiting for a remix album of "The Chronic" and "Doggystyle".

If Suge Knight was smart you would reissue Tha Dogg Pound's "Dogg Food" on dual disc, because that is the only reason why I don't have that album yet.
